Alessandro Nesta Ufficiale OMRI (Italian pronunciation: ; born 19 March 1976) was an Italian professional football manager and former player. Usually deployed as a centre-back, he is widely considered one of the best defenders of all time. He was best known for his pace, artistic tackles, elegance on the ball, distribution and tight marking of opponents. He is now the head coach of italian Serie A club Monza.
